We know you’ve all been wondering, and we’re excited to share the news that the very first payout of $25 was issued to… (drum roll please)… Peter Yu in British Columbia, Canada! Congratulations Peter!!
This Waterloo engineering student heard about Scour from a friend and decided to put our news social search to the test. After signing up during our big launch day (July 14th) Peter became a dedicated Scour user, rating and commenting on searches and was able to rack up some points pretty quickly. We chatted with him after he received his payment to congratulate him and hear his thoughts. Here is one comment from Peter that made us particularly warm and fuzzy.
“It’s definitely a really good search engine. Everything that comes up [in search results]is very related to what I’m searching. There aren’t a lot of commercials[ads] coming at you either.”
Peter received his payout via PayPal, which we’re using for payment deliveries outside of the U.S. until we iron out the final details with international VISA gift cards. Though we didn’t ask Peter what he was going to use his $25 for, I’m guessing it won’t be for a trip to Disney World… gas is just way to expensive.

Just sent the mail for cash out my payment.
After discovering the Scour.com site, I’ve referred 65 people so far from the best community blog from my country, and everyone is waiting there anxiously to see if they really pay or not.
I am just wondering how will I get paid, as you are now paying through Paypal for outside US, because I do not have any Paypal account, and it is not even possible for me to get one, as in my country Qatar, it is not possible to receive payment through Paypal, though they let us pay with it. But I have a MoneyBookers account, with which i can receive money if you give.
Please let me know.

Hooray for Peter, what about the payment promised to me. Why was the last real message I recieved from Scour asking me for my paypal details because they couldn’t pay - and then suddenly all contacts stopped, except a notice telling me I was unbanned, and then after sending an email about why I reieceved a message about being unbanned, when I had not recieved any message on being banned in the first place - was sent a ban notice.
When is Scour going to actually address my concerns instead of taking every step and measure to just ignore me?

I’m dropping by AGAIN for maybe just one last post HERE.
That’s an advice in order for you not to receive any negative feedback.
When you send an email to someone he’s banned, it’s easy, right? An automated system. You just click on the button and the email is sent.
That’s not right. you should give a REASON.
I was banned for doing searches quickly
hurray. I have’t used any programs, I don’t even know how to write a single row in such a script. I haven’t used any automated systems.
And in your rulles I haven’t found a line stating that I should have not more than 2 searches in a minute for instance. I used the related search “way too much”. What was my mistake!?
Why don’t you answer. Is your team still 2 people? Or only the guy in the video you posted!? Maybe just him?

SMYTT I’m still in correspondence with Scour, I’m waiting for an answer for what happened with me - I’ve asked for them to look into your case, I don’t know your username so I suggested that it was Smytt - which again may be wrong.
In the end I have received payment via Paypal, I’m waiting for the response about what happened - if I receive a legitimate response I will hopefully continue to use Scour and recommend it.
I really don’t know what to say, Scour’s mode of communication is lacking.

Hi,
I contacted Simon, he send me a message, I replied, he then replied recently alleging he had not got my message, so I’ve forwarded the latter again to him. I did not receive a daemon alert, and there are no server errors on my side so it’s either on your side, or he ‘missed’ the e-mail. If I don’t get a reply tomorrow, I’ll try the e-mail you’ve listed - otherwise I think he should receive my forward.

Good job peter, it must take a while to reach i believe 6,500 points for the gift card, but I mean it is better than nothing. Google, you get 0% this is fun, and topics are great. Great that i know people get the actual gift card. Hopefully i can reach the point total one day. Good luck everyone

They have got limit of 500 points in a day and that’s understandable. So to get your first payment you need to invest at least 13 days. I search an average of 10-15 per day and that’s normal (unless you are really dumb to try to find everything on internet or you are trying to misuse the system) I feel sorry for those who try to misuse to get just 25 bucks & doing hard work for at least 13 days. It’s not fair ($2/day). Don’t do, you are wasting your time & spoiling the company as well.
Also, the advertisement part takes some while to show the result and for people who are use to google.com won’t like it much. So it’s difficult for scour to be in this business for long time at least those scammer won’t let it stand. Still all the best!
