We have received a lot of great feedback and are excited to announce that we have improved our image search results. As of now we are using Flickr photos to populate our image search. We felt that this was a necessary change due to some of the short-comings of our previous filters. Scour wants to ensure that we are doing our best to make image searching a safe and fun tool for the whole family. The search is pretty basic now, but we want to know how your would like to improve it. Are there any new engines, features or additions you would like to see? Let us know!

phew!!! There were A LOT of “porny” type images in the results, I couldn’t bear using the image search.

I would like to see image search based on the size of the image, like google has, as it is easier to organize that way.

For me, using only Flckr results are very poor and not competitive. Before he was very much better.
For me is better use also Live Search and Google search engines for image search.

This is probably for the best… I searched Sienfield, for a picture of Jerry, and got a picture of Jerry, Kramer, George and Elaine bumping uglies. Not really what I wanted.

The problem is that Flickr is very limited and honestly dry in terms of content. I realize that porn is always a problem, but it seems like Google and Yahoo have done a pretty good filtering job while still making that content available.
Porn is bad for general searches…but it shouldn’t be off the table completely.
