As many of you know, Scour’s commercial contest came to a close this week and we received some extremely creative submissions. For everyone who submitted a video entry, thank you, we were so pleased with all the participation!

And now the moment you’ve been waiting for. Finally, all those hours huddled around the computer, playing with editing software are about to pay off for our lucky winner who will receive a $500 VISA Gift Card and see his/her video on Scour’s website. The envelope please (insert suspenseful music here)… After carefully reviewing each entry, the Scour judges have chosen… Marc Blackwell’s “Search Everything” video! (wild applause, clapping and hollering here)

Scour is a search engine of many faces. Its success relies on the combined knowledge and contributions of its users, which is why we chose this video as it clearly combines the varied interests, hobbies and lifestyles that all represent the way of life and meaning of Scour. Each picture tells a different story and adds to the finished product, just like our social search! Marc’s original photography and unique style captured the versatility of Scour better than we could have imagined. See for yourself!

We also want to acknowledge and commend our two runners-up for their fantastic commercial entries who we also felt represented key parts of Scour:

We’d like to thank everyone for their hard work and for making this contest such a success. You’ve shown us that there is no shortage of creativity out there and we appreciate all your contributions to Scour.
